Cooper County man arrested for child porn possession

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Cooper County man was arrested for possession of child pornography, 2nd offense, Tuesday after a Boone County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Task Force investigator received a tip.

According to a Boone County Sheriff's Department release, investigators found at least 20 images or one video on a social media account of Dennis Wilson Amie, Sr.

Task Force investigators and the Boonville Police Department served a search warrant on the defendant’s address located in Cooper County.

According to the release, the defendant made statements placing him responsible for the account and seized devices belonging to the suspect.

Officials say the defendant posted $20,000 surety bond.
