A 14-year-old driver was flown to a Columbia hospital after a crash early Friday in Pettis County.

The teen girl, whose name was withheld from the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, was driving a Ford Fusion southbound at Route K and McCubbin Road, just south of Houstonia. The patrol says she lost control, went off the road and hit a culvert.

The crash happened a little before 1 a.m.

The girl was flown to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries, according to the report. An update on her condition was not available Friday.
