Columbia man dies in two vehicle car crash Saturday night

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Morgan County just after 8:30 on Missouri five just before Route MM.

According to a crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael Paladino, 33 was driving in his 2013 GMC terrain, when he crossed the center of the road, and hit another vehicle head on.

Paladino was pronounced dead on scene.

The other vehicle, a 2011 Ford F-250 was being driven by James Prchal, 68. He was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries. The passenger in Prchal's car, Joan Olsen, 64 was also taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

According to the report, the truck ended up on its side on the right side of the roadway.

The report also states that Paladino was the only one wearing his seatbelt during the time of the crash.
