COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fans are excited to see the Kansas City Chiefs going back to the Super Bowl.

Chiefs fan Lane Rose was at Academy. Rose said he didn't think the Chiefs would be here at the start of the season but it's a fantastic feeling to see them go back to a Super Bowl.

"We played a great game and we got a lot of potential for this next game," Rose said. "But I do hope that the Lions make it too with the Chiefs because that's going to be a game of the century."

ABC 17 News spoke with Academy manger Michael Young, who said that it's a process when preparing to layout AFC Championship merchandise before the game ends.

"We had everything locked in a secure location and everything under wraps," Young said. "Boxes were closed. We had the boxes labeled. But then at that point, I got the staff together. And then we just start to put things together, put the tables out, and kind of still hit the product under the tables or in the back room still until the game was officially over."

As fans gathered around a tables and shelves full of t-shirts and hats that say AFC Champions, Rana Hayes expressed her congratulations to Head Coach Andy Reid and the whole team.

"We got it back to back. We ran it back," Hayes said. "The players played a good game tonight. And congratulations to Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. Go, Chiefs!"
