QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should Missouri execute Carman Deck?
A man convicted of a 1996 double killing in eastern Missouri is scheduled to die Tuesday by lethal injection in the state prison at Bonne Terre.
Gov. Mike Parson denied clemency to Carman Deck on Monday. Death penalty opponents had advocated for his sentence to be commuted to life in prison without parole. His sentence was overturned three times on procedural errors before a federal appeals court reinstated it.
