Hannibal woman dies after car struck by train

HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) — A 20-year-old northeast Missouri woman is dead after her car was struck by train.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Courtney Griffith of Hannibal was driving on a county road Saturday night when her vehicle pulled in front of a locomotive.

Authorities say crossing signals were in use at the site of the accident.

The accident happened about two miles west of Hannibal.
