Boone County man charged with multiple felonies

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Hallsville man arrested on Friday has now been charged.

Nicholas Brunda, 39, has been charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor after he is accused of firing a gun at a residential building on Friday. Property damaged was observed, but no injuries were reported, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.

He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and fourth-degree assault.

He made his initial appearance Monday afternoon and is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, Brunda made threats to someone who lives on the 4300 block of Germantown Drive.

The sheriff’s office said in a post on its Facebook page that Brunda was seen leaving the scene in a vehicle by multiple witnesses.
