Firefighters were in the area conducting fire-prevention inspections at businesses when a tractor-trailer hit a power line around 3 p.m., which brought down the pole and line on top of the truck and shocked it, according to the email.

Another firetruck, Ameren and the Jefferson City Police Department showed up to the scene. Power was temporarily lost in the area, but was restored, according to the area.
