Fulton police arrest man accused of burglary
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Fulton Police Department posted on its Facebook page Tuesday that it arrested a man who is accused of two burglaries.
Police later identified the man as Seth Adams, 34.
Adams has been charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, first-degree property damage, three counts of stealing, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is being held at the Callaway County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
The first incident allegedly occurred Saturday at a jewelry store in the 500 block of Court Street in Fulton. Police said in a statement that the front windows were broken out and jewelry was stolen. The second incident occurred Sunday at a laundromat in the 300 block of St. Louis Avenue. A window was broken out and a donation box was allegedly taken.
Police found Adams on Tuesday allegedly digging through a dumpster in the 300 block of St. Louis Avenue. He allegedly resisted police and ran away, according to a press release.
A K-9 was used to track the him to his home, where he attempted to run away again. Officers and deputies were able to take him into custody.
Police used a search warrant to inspect his home and found some of the jewelry that allegedly matched items that were missing on Saturday.
