Kitchen fire causes smoke damage at Ashland home

ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Southern Boone Fire Department reported a residential kitchen fire at 6:44 p.m. on the 100 block of Renee drive.

According to reports, firefighters got on the scene and got the fire under control within 10 minutes.

Officials report the house suffered moderate smoke damage.

There were no injuries and one dog was rescued from the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
