Jefferson City man indicted on multiple charges of sex crimes against children
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City man was indicted on multiple charges of attempted enticement of a child and sexual misconduct involving a child under 15.
A grand jury indicted Shane R. Steck, 41, of Jefferson City on three counts of enticement or attempted enticement of a child and three counts of sexual misconduct involving a child under 15.
Steck allegedly exposed himself to three victims between June 24 and July 20 in Jefferson City, according to court documents.
Officers responded in July to Ellis Porter Riverside Park on a report of a man who had exposed himself to a child in the women's bathroom, according to a Jefferson City Police Department news release.
Officers located Steck at home and arrested him, according to the release.
Steck remains in the Cole County Jail without bond. Erin and Thomas Kirsch are listed as Steck's lawyers in online court records.
Steck was arraigned Tuesday morning.
