MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Mexico woman is charged after she allegedly assaulted Mexico public safety officers.
An Audrain County prosecutor has charged Tamijah Williams with first-degree assault of a special victim, resisting arrest, fourth-degree assault of a special victim and fourth-degree assault.
Officers say Williams reportedly first beat up someone in the 200 block of Jackson Street on Monday night.
She ran from officers when they arrived to arrest her.
Police say she was able to get out of her handcuffs and began hitting and spitting on officers when they tried to get her back into them.
Williams is being held at the Audrain County Jail without bond. Williams has a docket hearing scheduled for Thursday.
