Columbia police in standoff outside home in northeast part of city

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police officers were seen in a standoff on Wednesday in the northeast part of the city.

ABC 17 News saw seven police officers on the scene with some of them pointing guns at the home on Hidden Creek Court, a cul-de-sac off of Rice Road and Hanover Boulevard.

Columbia Police Department spokesperson Colin Imhoff confirmed officers were serving a search warrant in the area.

Officers were heard yelling for a person to come out of the home. A K-9 was brought to the scene shortly after 2 p.m.
