A Columbia man who pleaded guilty last year to two federal gun charges was sentenced on Tuesday to 10 years and 10 months in prison, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

Shaune Aaron Price, 36, pleaded guilty on Nov. 7, 2023, to two counts of being a felon with a gun.

According to previous reporting, Price was wanted in a shooting that occurred in west Columbia on Dec. 31, 2021. He was arrested months later in Jefferson City after police pulled over a Greyhound bus he was riding, previous reporting indicates. He was found with a gun during the arrest.

The release says  ATF National Integrated Ballistic Information Network analzyzed the gun and linked it to three events, including a shooting outside a Downtown Columbia bar on Nov. 6, 2021, the Dec. 31 shooting and – according to previous reporting – another shooting in Downtown Columbia on Oct. 31, 2021.
