Woman accused of crashing vehicle into Centralia home

CENTRALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 20-year-old Centralia woman has been charged after she was accused of crashing into a house with her vehicle early Saturday.

Mayda Martinez-Perez was charged with leaving the scene of an accident that cause more than $1,000 worth of damage. She is being held without bond at the Boone County Jail. A hearing was held on Tuesday at the Boone County Courthouse.

According to the probable cause statement, Martinez-Perez allegedly left IC Billiards Bar and Pool Hall, drove through the yard of a redacted address and hit the home. She then allegedly ran away before police arrived.

The statement says police searched the vehicle and found her wallet, a fake Social Security card and an identification card. Police eventually interviewed Martinez-Perez and she claimed to have drank three alcoholic drinks and an additional shot.

The probable cause statement claims she has an outstanding warrant Immigration Customs Enforcement for an order of removal from 2015.
