A Jefferson City man faces multiple sodomy charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman on Friday in Holts Summit.

Curtis Koelling, 59, was charged on Saturday with first-degree sodomy and two counts of second-degree sodomy. He is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond. A hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Callaway County Courthouse.

According to the probable cause statement, a woman had told St. Mary’s Hospital staff and law enforcement that she was driven to a building in Holts Summit and sexually assaulted by Koelling.

The woman allegedly told law enforcement that she was showing Koelling a photo on her phone when he began assaulting her, the statement says. A sexual assault exam was performed and allegedly found evidence showing an assault occurred, the statement says.

Koelling allegedly told law enforcement in an interview that he gave the victim a ride and that some of his DNA might be found, claiming that the victim put his hand in inappropriate places, according to the statement.
