CPD looking for man with gun seen on Tenth Street early Sunday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police are looking for a person witnesses say pulled out a gun during a fight early Sunday near Harpo's, according to a social media post from CPD.

The man with the gun, who was wearing a red jacket and black pants, allegedly threatened people with the weapon during a fight in the 20 block of Tenth Street, a Columbia Police Department spokesman said.

The man got away before police arrived, the CPD spokesman said. Police posted a photo of the accused man on social media.

ABC 17 News spoke with Harpo's security manager Toby Davidson and he emphasized that the fight was not inside the bar.

"It was not inside the building. My door guys are very well trained to the point where it would not ever be something that needs to be worried about taking place inside," Davidson said.

Davidson was unable to disclose much information, including whether the suspect was ever inside the bar before the fight.
