No injuries reported in Fulton house fire; $130,000 worth of damage reported

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries were reported in a Friday house fire in the 100 block of West Reed Street, according to a press release from the Fulton Fire Department.

Firefighters saw smoke coming out of a single-story home.

The fire was brought under control within approximately 30 minutes, according to the release. Damage was contained to the basement. Other parts of the house had smoke and heat damage, the release states.

The fire was ruled accidental, and was started near a dehumidifier that was plugged in. Initial damage is estimated at $130,000, according to the release.
