Sheriff’s Office: More than 1,000 pills containing fentanyl found after Miller County traffic stop

The Miller County Sheriff's Office says more than 1,000 pills containing fentanyl were found on a man who was arrested.

ELDON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were arrested and eventually charged after Miller County Sheriff’s deputies found about 1,000 pills containing fentanyl among other drugs, according to a social media post from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on westbound Highway 54 near Business 54 outside of Eldon. Deputies searched the vehicle and allegedly found 14 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and drug paraphernalia. Bryant and Donna Davis, both of Kaiser, were arrested.

When brought to the jail, Bryant Davis allegedly tried to dispose a bag he had concealed. That bag was recovered by law enforcement and had about 1,000 pills containing fentanyl.

Bryant Davis was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Donna Davis was charged with two counts of delivering a controlled substance. An arraignment for both is set for 9 a.m. Monday, July 12 at the Miller County Courthouse. Both posted surety bonds.
