Fulton man accused of assaulting officers

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton police say they arrested a 20-year-old man Friday morning after he forced his way into a home, assaulted a resident and assaulted police.

Jordan A. Castillo of Fulton was also wanted for arrest warrants out of Audrain County. Police say officers were called a little after 3 a.m. Friday to the 600 block of Vine Street, where Castillo allegedly assaulted a person living there.

Officers caught up to him near Second and Nichols streets but Castillo assaulted the officers and ran, police say. They later found Castillo on St. Louis Avenue with the help of a drone and a police dog, according to the Fulton Police Department, and arrested him without incident.

Police have asked the prosecutor's office to file felony assault and burglary charges.
