COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boone County jury convicted a Columbia man Wednesday on seven felony charges including rape, robbery and kidnapping.

Xavier B. Gee, 26, will be sentenced at a later date on his convictions for first-degree rape or attempted rape, two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy and kidnapping, according to court records.

Gee was accused in two separate incidents. In one, the victim reportedly told police that Gee made her strip down to her underwear and drive a car while he held her at gunpoint. He allegedly told the victim he would sell her for $5,000 and later made her get in the trunk. He then sexual assaulted her, the victim reported.

The jury recommended nearly 70 years in prison on the seven charges. A judge will make the final decision on the sentence and whether punishments will run concurrently at a later date.
