Authorities arrested a man Friday in connection with a shooting earlier in the week.

On Monday, the Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 1000 block of W Breckenridge in reference to a disturbance involving a gun.

Authorities said Trayvon D. Walls, 30, was at the home and then later crashed his car on N. Missouri Street. Officials said they later found out Walls had been shot one time during the initial incident.

The Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued an arrest warrant for Walls for unlawful use of weapon, unlawful possession of weapon, and possession of a controlled substance.

The Audrain County Sheriff's Office and MPSD arrested Wells at a home in the 8900 block of Highway 15 on Friday after he left the hospital.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
