COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man accused in a shooting outside of a Walmart in west Columbia could soon have his probation revoked.

The Boone County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday that motions have been filed to revoke probation for Gerrod Taylor, 20, of Columbia.

Taylor was sentenced in March in two separate cases. He received four years in prison for unlawful use of a weapon in an August shooting at Douglass Park.

Taylor was also sentenced to seven years in prison for tampering with electronic monitoring equipment. Both of his sentences were deferred for five years of supervised probation.

Taylor is one of three men accused in a shooting Monday night that began with a confrontation outside of the Walmart on West Broadway. Police said there were no reports of any injuries or property damage.

Officers are still searching for Taylor and Dequan Hughes, 21, of Columbia.
