Columbia police investigate shots fired incident in the parking lot of the Broadway Walmart

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia police release new details about a report of shots fire at the Walmart on Broadway at 8 p.m. Monday.

Officials report searching the area and finding evidence of shots fired.

Witnesses told police that four men may have been involved but ran away toward the Hy-Vee across from Walmart.

Shortly afterwards, another report of shots fired was reported at the Hy-vee gas station, but no evidence or suspects were located at the gas station.

Upon arrival, officers did not locate any evidence to confirm the report and could not locate the suspects.

No injuries or property damage has been reported.

Columbia police continue to investigate.
