Columbia man sentenced to four years for abandonment of a corpse

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man has been sentenced to prison for abandoning his wife's body.

The Boone County prosecutor's office says Frank Spencer received a four-year sentence today after he pleaded guilty to abandonment of a corpse.

According to court documents, he buried the body of his wife Nikki Lee Boring behind a home on Quail Drive in Nov. 2018. Her body wasn't found until Feb. 2019.

An autopsy was unable to reveal the cause of his wife's death due to how badly decomposed it was
