Maries County traffic stop leads to multiple charges
MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Maries County man was arrested on mulitple charges Friday after a traffic stop.
According to a probable cause statement, a Maries County Sheriff's department lieutenant observed Travis Weed traveling the center of the roadway for 100 yards.
Lt. Mark Morgan pulled over Weed for the violation. Morgan reports that Weed's speech was slurred and Lt. Morgan asked for consent to search the vehicle and it was given.
According to court documents, Lt. Morgan found an e-cigarette with weed and THC wax.
The lieutenant also discovered a loaded hangun in the truck.
Lt. Morgan arrested Weed and took him to the Maries County Jail.
Weed is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon and fail to drive on right half of roadway.
Weed does not have a bond currently set.
