Two arrested in Audrain County accused to recent burglaries

AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Audrain County deputies say two people arrested recently are responsible for several recent burglaries.

Deputies said Jacob Campbell, 21, of Mexico and Austin Creason, 24, of Centralia are being held in the Audrain County Jail.

Deputies allege Campbell and Creason are behind five burglaries going back to early December.

The post said Campbell and Creason stole from two residents that live along Route D in the southwestern part of the county. A post on the Audrain County Sheriff's Office Facebook page shows the pair are accused of stealing two pickup trucks, firearms, as well as $1,000 power tools from the residents.

Deputies arrested Campbell on Dec. 22 while he was driving around the area. The post shows Campbell led authorities on a short chase before he pulled over. Deputies allege he had some of the stolen items with him when he was arrested.

Creason was arrested on Wednesday after investigators found stolen property at his residence. Deputies said authorities searched his residence in rural Centralia on Dec. 24 after receiving information Creason had other stolen items. The post said stolen firearms and tools were seized during the search.
