COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The popular fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A could be adding another location in Columbia.

A statement from the company says Chick-fil-A is looking to add a second location, which it claims would create roughly 80-120 jobs.

Documents submitted to the city show that the company is looking to build the restaurant at the northwest corner of the intersection of Green Meadows Road and East Nifong Boulevard.

The company is looking to acquire the property from THF Red Oak Development, according to documents submitted to the city.

“At this time, we are conducting site due-diligence on behalf of Chick-fil-A to determine the feasibility of this development. From initial investigation into the City’s Code, it appears that this would require a major subdivision along with a conditional use for the drive-through facility,” documents state.

Chick-fil-A’s opened its location at 305 Stadium Blvd. in 2015.
