COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Maintenance will be conducted on the elevators at the Eighth and Walnut Parking Garage in Downtown Columbia, according to a Wednesday press release from the city.

The release says that beginning this week, repairs will be made to the garage’s two elevators. Upgrades are expected to be completed by December, the release says.

Repairs will first be conducted to the elevator in the southeast corner of the garage. After those are done, crews will move on to the southwest elevator, the release says.

The estimated cost for the project is $435,000 and is funded by parking revenue, the release says.
