COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Central Missouri Humane Society began extending its adoption hours on Monday, according to a press release sent by CMHS.

The release states that CMHS has been facing challenges in regards to shelter space “and is urgently seeking adopters and foster parents to provide loving homes for the animals in its care.”

Adoption hours will last from noon-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon-5 p.m. on Saturdays and noon-3 p.m. on Sundays. The release states that CMHS will have an adoption special this week.

“Our mission at CMHS is to unite animals in need with compassionate individuals and families,” CMSH Executive Director Julie Aber said in the release. “By extending our adoption hours, we aim to make it more convenient for people to visit our shelter, spend quality time with the animals, and potentially find their perfect pet companion.”

Those looking to adopt or foster a pet can visit CMHS’ website or call (573) 443-7387.
