COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Business Loop 70 in Columbia was closed off on Friday night near the intersection with Hathman Place for a crash investigation.

Business Loop was closed from the Hathman Place Intersection to Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners. The crash was reported around 7 p.m. Friday and police tape began coming down around 8:53 p.m.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw at least five first responder vehicles at the scene, as well as a pickup truck and a damaged motorcycle. The front end of the truck was smashed and the motorcycle was seen leaning against it when the reporter arrived.

An SUV was loaded onto a flatbed with the motorcycle and truck. The SUV also had damage to one of its sides.

At least one man was seen leaving in an ambulance. A white van was also at the scene.

This was the second crash of the day that led to a closure on Business Loop. A vehicle flipped near the Subway restaurant around 4:20 p.m. That closure lasted around 30 minutes.
