Columbia woman arrested, accused of child abuse

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia woman was arrested Saturday after she was charged with child abuse.

A warrant was served to Taylor Ashley Oringderff, 31, after she was charged with one count of child abuse, originally filed on Nov. 3. According to online court records, a date has not been set for a hearing yet, although one is planned.

A warrant was put out for Oringderff's arrest and her bond is placed at $5,000. According to the warrant, law enforcement believes Oringderff is a threat to the victim. Her bond conditions include not having any contact with the victim or going within 500 feet of their home.

According to court documents, a person close to the child noticed bruising and reported it to Social Services after the child told them Oringderff was pushing them down and hitting them.

A heavily redacted probable cause statement details physical abuse by Oringderff, including an incident where Oringderff allegedly hit the child with a pink toddler's high chair because she suspected the child spoke with Social Services about the alleged abuse.
