COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia firefighters were called Thursday to remove a person from a car after their vehicle overturned at Paris Road and Highway 63.

At least one person was taken to a hospital. The extent of their injuries was unknown.

A car had overturned and landed on its roof in a drainage ditch in the crash, which appeared to involve a van, as well. It wasn't clear what caused the crash.

The crash and response caused the closure of the northbound lanes of Paris Road but traffic was flowing on Highway 63.

Northbound Paris Road reopened at about 12:30 p.m.
