Area government offices closed for Memorial Day

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A number of area government offices will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

Offices for Boone, Cole and Callaway counties, among others, will be closed for the holiday. The City of Columbia also said in a press release.

For Columbia, residential curbside trash collection will not occur Monday and will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week, according to a release. The landfill will be closed Monday. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, collection crews will begin their routes at 6:30 a.m. Household Hazardous Waste collection for Saturday, June 3, has been canceled.
