COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Solid Waste has canceled its household hazardous waste drop-off event set for June 3, according to a press release from the City.

Household Hazardous Waste collections set for May 20 and June 17 will still be held. The press release stated the event was canceled so staff could focus on residential collection after Memorial Day.

Residential curbside recycling and trash will not be collected on Memorial Day and will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week, according to the release.

The Solid Waste Utility does not collect hazardous materials curbside. The hazardous materials collection is open from 8 a.m.-noon on the first and third Saturdays during April-November. The facility is located at 1313 Lakeview Ave.
