COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone County Sheriff's Deputies were sent to a home in north Columbia for what appears to be a swatting incident.

ABC 17 crews went to the scene in the 5500 block of north autumn drive around 5 p.m. where they observed at least four Boone County deputies, an ambulance and fire response.

A deputy told ABC 17 that despite the call, they found no evidence of shots fired and believe it was a false alarm. The deputy says they believe no one was injured and are in contact with the home owner.
