Fulton man dies after being hit by van in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fulton man died Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a van in Boone County the day before.

Jesse Berger, 33, was hospitalized in critical condition after the crash but died Wednesday afternoon, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. Berger was walking east on Route WW near Blackthorne Lane when he was hit late Tuesday by a van, according to the report.

The report says the van driver hit her brakes but was unable to stop in time.
