BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Deputies are working to return stolen property found Wednesday night.

According to a Facebook post from the Boone County Sheriff's Office, deputies found what appeared to be a temporary storage place for stolen items in the 6000 block of Creasy Springs Road. Deputies found two stolen cargo trailers and a boat trailer.

The sheriff's office said there were also several other items believed to be stolen. Deputies are trying to find the owners of those items. Some of the trailers appear to have been painted.

Deputies posted pictures of the items to Facebook. People who may recognize the items in the photos are asked to contact the sheriff's office at 573-442-6131 or 311.

Captain Brian Leer said the department was able to return several of the stolen items, including one that was taken from a local church.

Leer said there have not been any arrests in the case yet. He said the property owner is not involved and discovered the items had been stored on their property.
