Ashland woman allegedly injures officer
ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)
An Ashland officer was injured after responding to a disturbance at Main Street and Redbud Lane just after 11 a.m.
According to a release, while officers were attempting to detain a person, Krista McKee allegedly assaulted one of the officers.
McKee was arrested for third-degree assault on a special victim and resisting arrest for a felony.
According to a release, the officer had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Ashland police are reporting the officer had a full Achilles tear and will likely require surgery. He has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering from home.
McKee is currently being held at the Boone County Jail after a judge denied her bond. She not been charged according to online court records.
