PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Sedalia man faces possible charges following a crash Tuesday night in Pettis County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Route B near Ragar Road around 6:50 p.m.

Troopers said 22-year-old Tylor Washington tried to pass a vehicle when another vehicle overtook his car and hit him. Emergency crews flew Washington to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

A MU Health Care spokesman said Washington is in serious condition.

Troopers arrested Washington around 7:20 p.m. on possible charges of driving while intoxicated, improper passing, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Crews took the second vehicle's driver, Sofia S. Oleynic, 23, of Green Ridge, to University Hospital with serious injuries. Oleynic was treated and released from the hospital.
