Three men charged in FIJI hazing case appear in court Monday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Three men charged with felony hazing -- in relation to an incident at Phi Gamma Delta that left Danny Santulli disabled -- were in court on Monday.

Harrison Reichman, Thomas Shultz and Benjamin Parres appeared through video at the Boone County Courthouse.

Shultz's attorney said they would need more time before setting a trial date. Shultz's next hearing is Dec. 19. He is also charged with tampering with evidence and supplying liquor to a minor.

Reichman pleaded not guilty today and a judge set his next hearing for Dec. 12. Parres' next hearing will also be Dec. 12.

Eleven men were charged with felony hazing in the case. Samuel Gandhi, Alec Wetzler and Blake Morsovillo, Shultz and now Reichman have pleaded not guilty.

John O'Neil was granted a change of judge.

Parres' attorney mentioned possibly requesting a change of judge.

Santulli is in New Orleans with his family receiving treatment for his traumatic brain injury.
