JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A crash in Johnson County Monday afternoon left a Knob Noster man with serious injuries.

The crash happened on southbound Route D at SE 125th Road around 3:30 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said an SUV driven by 35-year-old Justin D. Howard crashed into the back of a stopped minivan waiting for a third vehicle to make a left turn. The force of the crash pushed the minivan into the back of the third vehicle, according to the crash report.

Troopers said Howard's SUV crossed the center of the road after the crash and hit a fourth vehicle head-on.

Emergency crews took Howard to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with serious injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the crash.
