Woman seriously hurt after a crash in Cole County

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One woman was seriously injured during a crash Friday in Cole County.

The two-vehicle crash happened on US 54 Westbound at Route D.

A Jeep failed to yield to another vehicle as it entered onto Highway 54 causing the two cars to collide.

The driver of the Jeep, William Davenport 71 of Eldon, experienced moderate injuries and the passenger, 65-year-old Karen Davenport of Eldon had serious injuries.

According to the crash report, they were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were both transported to University Hospital in Columbia.

The driver of the other vehicle did not experience any injuries in the crash.
