Former Mizzou star competes at the Olympics

TOKYO (KMIZ)

Former Mizzou star Karissa Schweizer finished in 11th place in the 5,000-meter final at the Olympics on Monday morning.

The six-time national champion was the first American across the finish line. Schweizer finished with a time of 14:55.80.

The Iowa native will compete again on Saturday in the 10,000-meter final.
