Second man charged with murder in Lazy Gator shooting

LAKE OZARK, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Camden County Sheriff's Department is reporting a second man is now charged in the fatal shooting of Vonza Watson at Lazy Gators on May 29.

According to a release, Craig Hawkins, of Jefferson City, is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Hawkins is being held at the Camden County Detention Center on a no-bond warrant.

On Wednesday, Chad Brewer was charged with first-degree murder of Watson and other charges.

Brewer was arrested at the scene after deputies allegedly found drugs in his possession. During the investigation, detectives gathered surveillance footage that showed Brewer shooting a handgun and then leaving the scene, according to the Camden County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
