COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 263 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday bringing the total up to 488,455. This is below the daily average in the state, which is 301 cases per day.

The state reported 2,104 new cases of the virus in the past seven days.

No new virus-related deaths were reported keeping the state's total at 8,440.

According to the state's COVID-19 vaccine dashboard 2,323,916 total doses have been administered in Missouri, which is an increase of 31,357 from Saturday.

In total 866,599 Missourians have completed vaccination and 24.4% of the population in Missouri have initiated vaccination.
