SATURDAY UPDATES: Missouri has administered more than 2 million doses of coronavirus vaccine
Missouri hit another milestone in vaccine distribution on saturday, as more than 2 million doses have been administered throughout the state.
According to data from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, 2,015,825 doses are in the arms of Missourians.
In the state, 21.7 percent of the population, or 1,329,104 people, have started the vaccination process. 718,615 people have been fully vaccinated.
In the past 7 days, 230,248 doses have been given out.
348 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Saturday. That brings the total number of positive cases to 485,388 throughout the pandemic.
Two new deaths were reported in the state, bringing the total to 8,370.
The state's 7 day positivity rate dropped slightly saturday to 4.3 percent. It was at 4.5 percent for the prior 5 days.
Hospitalizations due to COVID-18 also dropped throughout the state to 897 people. Of those, 162 on in the ICU.
