Columbia Board of Education gets update on COVID-19 and finances

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Board of Education got an update on the school district's finances and the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on them during an online meeting Monday.

The meeting included a presentation by Heather McArthur, the chief financial officer for Columbia Public Schools. McArthur gave a preview of her presentation including how the COVID-19 pandemic will affect district funding last week before the board's finance committee.
