Authorities conduct a hunting investigation in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Boone County authorities are conducting a hunting investigation near 1500 East Highway 124.

ABC 17 News Crews saw officials from the Boone County Sheriff's Department and Boone County Fire Protection District in a field near the highway shortly before 6:00 p.m. Saturday.

A sheriff's deputy on scene released limited information but said the department was investigating a hunting incident.

Sunday the Department of Conservation confirmed it is investigating an incident where one person suffered a gunshot wound.
