MU police investigate sexual assault

The University of Missouri Police Department was investigating a sexual assault that reportedly happened in the 500 block of College Avenue on Sunday.

Police were called to the home at 10 p.m. Sunday for a sexual assault that happened earlier in the day. The victim told police a man she knew was the one who assaulted her, according to an announcement from MUPD.

Anyone with information on the assault is asked to call MUPD at 573-882-7201 or Crimestoppers at 573-875-8477.

MU police did not have immediate information on the possible suspect in the assault.
